One of the projects I have been working on since moving over to Azure Compute Engineering has been working with the team that designed our SAP HANA Large Instances environment. As part of the on boarding process – you have to provide networking ranges that your large instances will occupy AND that can not overlap with your existing networking environments. Needless to say, for those of us who don’t do network admin every day, it can get confusing which address ranges we should be talking about.
Fear not – I sat down and had a chat with Jon Ormand, one of the networking gurus who has been working to on-board customers. He does a great job explaining what’s going on, what addresses go where and what info you need to provide in order to get a properly working SAP HANA Large Instances architecture humming along with your environment.
